WSOP 2026: The Numbers for the Main Event Are Rising

Despite Independence Day, Day 1C of the $1,000 No Limit Hold’em World Championship Main Event of the World Series of Poker 2026 at Horseshoe & Paris Las Vegas was the largest flight so far, with a total of 3,383 entrants but still significantly behind the previous years.

Of course, the third flight was again played with 60,000 chips and five 120-minute levels. During this time, 1,573 participants were recorded – and the interim tally looks as follows compared to previous years:

Numerous players from the DACH region were among the participants, including Sebastian Pauli, Erik von Buxhoeveden, Fabian Quoss, win2day testimonial Jessica Teusl, Klemens Roiter, Daniel Rezaei, Armin Rezaei, Wojciech Barzantny, Lukas Hafner, Stefan Nemetz, Bruno Gmur, Marco Meisser, and many more. The international field also looked strong, with participants such as Brian Rast, Chris Moorman, Jerry Wong, Josh Arieh, Jamie Gold, as well as Annette Obrestad, Jon Kyte, and others.

The first seat open on Day 1C also had something to do with aces. On the board: , Dewitt Newkirk went almost all-in, and Stephen Graner then put him all-in. Newkirk decided to call with , but Graner showed , making Newkirk the first seat open of Day 1C.

Among the more prominent bustouts was Martin Jacobson, who went all-in with queens against on the flop . The river meant an early exit for Jacobson. David Benyamine also had to go out with a flopped set of 6s against a rivered flush.

Of the 1,573 entrants, 1,166 (tbc) remain; all mentioned DACH players are likely out. The counts will surely take a while to be reported… We will update as soon as possible.
