WSOP 2026: The $10,000 Main Event of the WSOP 2026 is underway

As Event #82 of the World Series of Poker 2026 at Horseshoe & Paris Las Vegas, the $1,000 No Limit Hold’em World Championship Event, commonly known as the “Main Event,” has commenced. This year, the $1,000 WSOP Main Event features four flights (July 2 to 5), Day 2ABC (July 6), and Day 2D (July 7). Each starting day has five levels, and late registration ends after seven levels, so there are two levels on each of the two Day 2s. The official number of entries will be confirmed on Tuesday. As always, players start with 60,000 chips, and levels last two hours (120 minutes). Play continues until July 13, followed by a break until the final table from August 3 to 5. ESPN will broadcast the Main Event and the final table live, with Eurosport as the partner in Europe. The Main Event was officially opened by the reigning world champion, Michael Mizrachi. This year, fans didn’t have to wait long for the “Phil Hellmuth” appearance, as he entered the tournament area alongside his sons and Dan Cates: The first seat open didn’t take long to happen. Ryan Sands’ 5-bet was met with an all-in call from Anthony Marini, but the was not enough against Ryan Sands’ , leaving Anthony Marini as the first seat open of the 2026 Main Event in Level 1. He wouldn’t be the only one; several others also had to say goodbye to their hopes of victory this year, including some familiar names. Jared Bleznick, Dan Smith, Julien Sitbon, Leo Margets, and Chad Eveslage were among the early casualties of Day 1A.Not too many players from the DACH region participated on Day 1A, but among them were Leonard Maue, Samuel Mullur, Tobias Matuschek, Paul Esau, Hannes Jeschka, Harald Sammer, Felix Rabas, and a few more.Day 1A concluded with 543 out of 772 entrants. The chip counts will take some time, but we’ll update as soon as possible.
