Koji Fujimoto has won the $1k Lowball at the World Series of Poker 2026. The Japanese player received his first bracelet and left the table with $1,478. Runner-Up Nick Schulman narrowly missed his ninth WSOP title.Another bracelet was awarded at the WSOP 2026. The eleven remaining players in the $1,000 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw Championship (Event #67) returned for Day 3 at Horseshoe & Paris Las Vegas.

Naoya Kihara ($1,401) sat at the final table for less than fifteen minutes. The Japanese player went all-in short-stacked against Todd Brunson before the first draw. Kihara drew two cards twice and one card once, Brunson drew two cards once and one card twice. Brunson hit an 8 for a 7-5-4-2, while Kihara had the better draw with 7-4-3-2 but received a queen.Todd Brunson ($1,404) also had a quick end to his bracelet chase. Short-stacked, the American went all-in in the first betting round against Nick Schulman. Brunson drew one card and made a T-9 low. Schulman drew four cards once and two cards twice, ultimately hitting a 4 for his 7-5-3-2 draw.In the third blind level, Justin Smith ($1,845) was eliminated. The American went all-in in the last betting round with a low of 8-7-6 against Tommy Hang, who turned over an 8-7-5 low.Before the blinds increased again, Andrew Kelsall ($1,011) packed up. The bracelet winner went all-in with a hand of 8-7-4-2 against Koji Fujimoto and a pat hand before the last draw. Fujimoto did not break T-7 and Kelsall paired the 8.In the following blind level, the heads-up began. Tommy Hang ($1,064) went all-in before the first draw against Nick Schulman and Koji Fujimoto. The two played a side pot, with Schulman bringing the hand to the heads-up in the final betting round. Schulman turned over the wheel, and Hang mucked his cards.

The duel lasted almost three hours. The lead changed hands several times, but in the last 90 minutes, Koji Fujimoto kept his opponent at bay. In the final hand, Nick Schulman ($1,181) went all-in after the first draw.Both players then drew two cards. Koji Fujimoto turned over 7-6-5-3 and paired the 3, but Nick Schulman also paired 9-7-6-4 and received another 4. For the Poker Hall of Fame member, this was his third heads-up of the series, following his
2nd place finish in Badugi and winning the
$1,500 HORSE.
