Two heads-up finishes, one fourth-place finish and five stone-cold bubble-outs. Adrian Mateos secured the overall title at the Poker Masters in Las Vegas, along with the Purple Jacket and a $25k PGT Passport.
Adrian Mateos is one of the best tournament players in the world and currently sits fourth on the All-Time Money List, with $70.69 million in career tournament earnings. Winning the overall title at the 2026 Poker Masters is another achievement to add to the Spaniard’s impressive résumé.
The way Mateos secured the title may well be what people remember most. The high roller became the bubble boy five times. However, whenever the 32-year-old made the money, he went on to make a deep run.
Mateos won Event #5 ($10k NLHE) for $229,200 in prize money. The six-time bracelet winner also finished runner-up in Event #2 ($10k NLHE) and took fourth place in Event #7 ($15k NLHE).
The only player who could still have denied him the title on the final day was Jeremy Ausmus. The American needed to finish at least second in the Poker Masters Championship to overtake Mateos, but ultimately came fourth.
