The WSOP Super Circuit Canada Main Event at Playground Poker Club is entering its decisive phase. There are 426 players still in contention for Day 3. Among them are Chance Kornuth, Daniel Negreanu, and Michael Mizrachi.
At the World Series of Poker Super Circuit Canada, 18 golden rings are up for grabs. Six of those prizes have already been awarded. In the C$2,300 NLH Super Circuit Championship ($1,700), James Pillon took the win for C$335,000 ($242,178).
The C$1,500 Monster Stack PLO ($1,100) went to Harley Stoffmaker for C$90,000 ($65,063). In the C$1,000 NLH Progressive Bounty ($700), the title and C$51,000 ($36,869) went to American Paul Meiners.
The C$5,000 WSOP Super Circuit Canada Main Event ($3,600) drew 2,844 entries across three starting days and three Day 2 flights. That pushed the prize pool past the C$10 million guarantee to a total of C$13.08 million ($9.46 million).
Chance Kornuth has made his way into the top 10 with 220 big blinds. The two GGPoker brand ambassadors, Daniel Negreanu (89 BBs) and Michael Mizrachi (87 BBs), are also well positioned for a deep run.
