The WSOP Super Circuit Canada is off to a strong start. Team Canada has claimed the first three titles. But the series is far from over. The Main Event is still to come.
The World Series of Poker is visiting the Playground Poker Club in Kahnawake as part of the International Circuit. Until 9 September, there is tournament action every day. Three of the coveted golden WSOPC rings have already been awarded.
In the C$500 Super Circuit Kickoff ($360), Sebastien Proulx came out on top. The Canadian took home C$56,000 ($40,358) and a gold ring. The opening event drew 731 players, with 111 participants sharing a total prize pool of C$317,985 ($229,166).
The C$500 Mini Main Event generated C$1.52 million ($1.09M) across five flights. 344 players made the money. The title, the gold ring, and C$185,000 ($133.326) went to Canada’s Daniel Haim.
The golden WSOPC ring stayed in Canada for the third event too. In the C$1,000 ($720) Mystery Bounty, Frederic Moss came out victorious. On top of the bounties, Moss also collected C$90,000 ($64,861).
