King’s WSOP Super Circuit: Aleksandrs Zenkovs Wins the German Championship of Poker

Latvian Aleksandrs Zenkovs secured victory at the €500 German Championship of Poker (#6) at the WSOP Super Circuit at King’s Resort Rozvadov and took home €20,300.

The sixth ring event kicked off on Friday, October 30, with 40,000 chips and 40-minute levels. A prize pool of €100,000 was guaranteed, though the guarantee was not met with 182 entries. After deducting the 15% fee, the prize pool totaled €85,000, with the top 28 places paid. With these 28 players—and Daniel Breidbach as the massive chip leader—the final began yesterday.

Everyone was guaranteed a minimum cash prize of €1,100, and the winner could look forward to a gold ring and €20,300. The initial chip leader didn’t make it to the final table; he finished in 10th place for €1,605.

Slovakian Jakub Bosko made it to the podium (€8,920 for 3rd place); in the heads-up match, Latvian Aleksandrs Zenkovs prevailed over Italian Antonio Fragale to secure the victory, while Antonio took home €13,220 as consolation.

Today, the €700 + 300 Mystery Bounty (€500,000 GTD) kicks off with the first of three flights; the conditions are 40,000 chips and 30-minute levels. There are also several satellites again, and cash games will start, as always, with blinds of €1/2 NLH and €2/2 PLO. You can find all the information about the full lineup at kings-resort.com.

All participants must use the WSOP Live app. You’ll also find all details and updates there.
