With 198 total entries, the numbers were significantly lower than last year, but a healthy $1,841,400 is in the pot. The top 30 places were paid, meaning about two-thirds of the players walked away empty-handed. Among those were Jennifer Harman, Chance Kornuth, Beeny Glaser, Phil Ivey, Scott Seiver, Gus Hansen, Chris Moneymaker, and Philip Sternheimer. Dennis Weiss was the last German to make the money, finishing in 18th place for $1,432.Daniel Negreanu (20th/$1,432) also made the money, as did Ren Lin, who was the last player to open up a seat at 14th place ($1,116).The 13 players are packing their chips, with Ryutaro Suzuki leading the way with 1,570,000, followed closely by Shaun Deeb with 1,530,000. Phil Hellmuth is short-stacked with 620k, also Dan Shak at 365k. Notably, Alex Foxen survived the bubble as one of the ultra-short stacks, now sitting at 785,000 chips in the final.All remaining players are guaranteed $1,116, while the winner will take home $1,923 along with the bracelet.
