WSOP 2026: Min-Cash for Max Neugebauer in the $5k NLH

24 players led by Anatoly Nikitin advance to Day 3 of the $1,000 NLH 8-handed at the World Series of Poker 2026 at Horseshoe & Paris Las Vegas. Max Neugebauer exited as the top Austrian with the min-cash.The late registration was open for two more levels on Day 2 and it was utilized accordingly. The initial 415 entries were supplemented by another 155 (re-)entries, leading to a total of 570 entries and a prize pool of $1,622,000. The first goal was the 86 paid positions, which secured $1,947 as the min-cash. Fabian Gumz, who survived Day 1 as the big stack, went out empty just like Samuel Ju. Mike Matusow, Chance Kornuth, Tyler Moncek, Scott Seiver, Benny Glaser, Roberto Romanello, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, and Phil Hellmuth also came up short.The bubble phase was eliminated since Manuel Fritz was knocked out by Justin Saliba with :Qx. and Micah Raskin with :Qx. by Ivan Ruban. This brought the total up to the 86 paid positions – and Max Neugebauer was the last Austrian to collect the min-cash.The day ended with 24 players remaining, and Martin Kabrhel also fell before the conclusion of the day. The Russians secured a double lead with Anatoly Nikitin (3,290,000) and Ivan Ruban (2,300,000). All are guaranteed $1,879 as they head into Day 3. In the end, the winner will also wait for the bracelet and $1,985.
