When the Poles announce they’re coming to Banco Bratislava, a full house is guaranteed. And that’s why, starting today, we can once again look forward to plenty of action at the tournament tables and the cash game tables alike.
The Poles come to Banco four times a year, and every festival is a highlight. Last year at the Summer Cup, with a buy-in of €140, there were a whopping 3,365 entries, resulting in a prize pool of more than €400,000. This year, the buy-in is €150, and we can once again look forward to a similarly large field. The regular flights will start with 40,000 chips and 30-minute levels, with the goal for the day being to make the money (10% of the entries). Anyone who qualifies twice for Day 2 on Sunday receives an extra €500; if you qualify three times, you’ll receive €1,500.
As always, there are many flights, with the last one taking place on Saturday evening. Unlike at other festivals, Sunday features only Day 2 and no opportunity to enter the tournament. The final will be played next Monday, August 24.
Polish players usually arrive starting Wednesday, which is why the first side event—the €250 Deepstack (€15,000 GTD/50k/30’)—kicks off then; the tournament schedule is fully booked starting Thursday.
Anyone who’s ever attended a Polish Poker Cup knows that there’s also great action at the cash game tables, starting with blinds of €1/3 NLH and €2/2 PLO. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Marketing Manager Jan Packa (in English); you can find all further details at bancocasino.sk.
Prize pools minus a 10% fee (unless otherwise noted) and a 6% rake
