North Fork Mono Casino Opens in Madera

After more than 20 years of legal challenges and $750 million in development costs, the North Fork Mono Casino in California opened last week.

The new casino is operated in partnership with Station Casinos and the North Fork Rancheria of Mono Indians of California. The partnership is set to run for seven years. The property covers almost 25,000 square metres, with the casino floor spanning more than 9,000 square metres.

More than 2,400 slot machines are available, alongside 40 table games. There is also a high-limit room featuring ten table games and almost 140 slots. VIPs have access to a private bar, too. The resort features numerous bars and dining venues.

Highlights include the Manzanita Steakhouse and the Clubhouse 99 sports bar. The project cost around $750 million, while planning and development were delayed for more than 20 years due to various legal challenges.
