WSOP 2026: Jessica Teusl as Big Stack on Day 2 at the Ladies’ Championship

A strong 1,475 participants registered for the $1,000 Ladies Championship Event at the World Series of Poker 2026 in Horseshoe & Paris Las Vegas. win2day testimonial Jessica Teusl came through the day as the Big Stack.At the WSOP 2026 in Horseshoe & Paris Las Vegas, the $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em Ladies Championship (Event #68) started yesterday. During the first eight blind levels, registration and one re-entry were allowed, resulting in 1,475 entries and a prize pool of $1,298,000. This amount will be distributed among the top 222, with a min-cash of $1,001, payouts starting at the final table with $1,668, and $1,630 waiting for the winner, along with the bracelet.Shiina Okamoto, who played for back-to-back championship titles last year, had to exit early and give up her dream of a triple win. Ten levels were completed on Day 1, and many ladies had to fold their dreams of victory. Only 338 made it through the day. Among the German-speaking ladies, many were already out early, including Caroline Schallock and Maureen Blöchlinger.In fact, only two DACH ladies made the cut – Jennifer Sabuel as a short stack with 58,500 (rank 207) and Jessica Teusl with 205,500 (rank 16) as the big stack. Jessica is not the only previous champion in the field (2022), as Marsha Wolack (2011) also continues. Among the big stacks is Maria Konnikova (10/225,500). The chip leader is Tzutung Chang with 1,600,000, although that may be a typo; rank 2 is held by Erika Weinstein (595,000).
