WSOP 2026: Paul Höfer as the last hope in the $3k NLH 6-handed

There was a lot of action at the $1,000 No Limit Hold’em 6-handed Event #56 of the World Series of Poker 2026 at Horseshoe & Paris Las Vegas. The money spots were reached already on Day 1, with Paul Höfer being the last German player and currently sitting at the bottom of the chip count.There were 1,150 entries, which is significantly fewer than last year, resulting in a prize pool of $1,075,500 distributed among the top 173 places. A minimum cash of $1,010 was available. Manuel Fritz barely made it into the money (162nd place / $1,010), while Max Neugebauer (96th / $1,490), Hannes Jeschka (83rd / $1,830), Erik Eisen (79th / $1,830), and David Kaufmann (67th / $1,340) missed the final table. Among the German-speaking players, only Paul Höfer remains, but he is sitting at the absolute bottom with just 60,000 chips (2 BBs).Naseem Salem leads with 2,025,000 chips, while other players in the final include Maria Konnikova (1,325,000) and Paulina Loeliger (1,100,000). World champion Michael Mizrachi also has a decent stack of 955,000 chips, starting from 18th place.Everyone is guaranteed $1,050, with the winner set to take home $1,050.
