WSOP 2026: Adrian Mateos wins $4.33 million and his sixth bracelet

Adrian Mateos has won the $1k Super High Roller at the World Series of Poker 2026 at Horseshoe & Paris Las Vegas.The $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em Super High Roller (Event #41) at WSOP 2026 came down to nine players. Early in the first blind level, Michael Moncek ($1,518) met his demise. Texas Mike went all-in before the flop with 88, and Jason Koon called with AJs, while the board came Kh-4d-10d-Qs-9d for the straight.Phil Ivey ($1,270) was competing for his twelfth WSOP title. He finished in eighth place when his Jacks ran into Bryn Kenney’s Queens. After the first break, Brandon Wilson ($1,397) was also eliminated. Wilson holding 10c-8c went all-in on the flop 5h-10s-4s, but Koon with Jd-10d had the better kicker, and neither the turn 2s nor river 3c helped.The second blind level then marked the end of Samuel Mullur ($1,417; photo r.). The Austrian went all-in from the small blind with 10c-9d. Adrian Mateos defended his big blind with Ac-8s, and the board 9c-Qc-4c-9s-5c gave both a flush, but Mateos won the pot.About an hour passed before another player was eliminated. Jason Koon missed with As-Kh against Adrian Mateos’s 10s-10c on the board and took home $1,375 for fifth place. Shortly thereafter, Sean Winter ($1,312,037) ran into Mateos’s Aces with Ac-9c.In the third blind level, they entered the heads-up. Bryn Kenney completed from the small blind, David Einhorn checked, and the flop came 4h-3s-5c. Einhorn bet, followed by raise, re-raise, and all-in. Einhorn called with Jc-6d and was shown 7c-6s for the straight. The businessman received no help on the turn 8d and river 6c.

With a straight against a two pair, Adrian Mateos took the lead. Bryn Kenney caught up again, but Mateos pulled ahead once more. In the pivotal hand, Mateos went all-in on the flop 2h-10s-4c with a 4-bet.Bryn Kenney ($1,776,634) called with 10h-9d, while Adrian Mateos turned over 10c-2c and emerged victorious after the turn 8d and river 3d. The Spaniard collected $1,334,411 and put on his sixth bracelet.
