WSOP 2026: Sebastian Pauli denies Dennis Weiss the next bracelet

German double victory at the $1,500 Razz of the World Series of Poker 2026 at Horseshoe & Paris Las Vegas. Sebastian Pauli secured his first bracelet.
Six players returned for Day 3 of the $1,500 Razz (Event #40) of WSOP 2026. Adam Owen ($1,850) was the first to hit the rails. The Brit was all-in on 3rd Street with 7-5|5 against Sebastian Pauli A-9|5 and Dennis Weiss (photo right) XX|9. Pauli grabbed the pot with an 8-6 low, while Owen couldn’t make it past a T-7.
Jon Turner’s ($1,177) dreams of his first bracelet ended in 5th place. The poker pro was all-in on 3rd Street with K-8|A against Dennis Weiss XX|5 and Oscar Johansson A-7|5. Johansson took the hand heads-up on 4th Street and made a 7-5 low on 6th Street, while Turner couldn’t get better than a T-8 low.
Next, Stephen Hubbard ($1,589) had to hit the rails. Hubbard was all-in on 4th Street with A-Q|5-3 against Sebastian Pauli’s 6-5|9-2, finishing the hand with a T-5 low, while Pauli won the pot with a 9-6 low.
In the fifth blind level, they moved into heads-up play. Oscar Johansson ($1,393) was all-in on 5th Street with 8-2|J-9-7. Dennis Weiss held 4-9|3-3-5 and drew a 6 and a 7, while Johansson made an 8-7 low.

The heads-up dragged on and on. Both players multiple times were close to grabbing the bracelet, but each time the short stack managed to double up and stay in the game.
After more than four hours in direct duel, the decision finally came. Short-stacked, Dennis Weiss was all-in on 5th Street with 32|97T. Sebastian Pauli held 2A|663 against him and drew a 4 on 6th Street for the perfect 6.
For Sebastian Pauli, there was $1,564 in prize money and his first bracelet. Dennis Weiss took home $1,354 as the runner-up. For the German, this would have been his second win of the series and overall his fourth title. This would have placed Weiss in the list of German-speaking bracelet winners in a shared first place.
