Philip Sternheimer advanced to 5th place after Day 1 of the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. Event #37 at the World Series of Poker 2026 in Horseshoe & Paris Las Vegas, and Tobias Hausen also moved on to Day 2.The small HORSE event attracted 780 entries this year, leading to a pot of $1,035,450, and the first 117 places will be paid. As always, many of the usual suspects sought their luck in the mixed game. Tobias Hausen (36/172,000) sailed confidently into Day 2, and Philip Sternheimer is in the mix with 274,000 chips, starting from 5th position.171 players successfully completed Day 1, with Daniel Makowsky in the lead with 390,000 chips. Scott Clements made it into the top 10, while Jon Kyte sits in 11th place with 215,500 chips. Many well-known names like John Racener, Jon Turner, Mike Matusow, and actor James Woods also survived the cut.The first goal on Day 2 is to secure one of the 117 paid spots, guaranteeing a min-cash of $1,040. The winner can look forward to a prize of $1,366.
