WSOP 2026: No $50k High Roller Final for Fabian Gumz and Thomas Mühlöcker

The bracelet for the $1,000 No Limit Hold’em High Roller (#29) at the World Series of Poker 2026 in Horseshoe & Paris Las Vegas will definitely not go to the DACH community. Just before the final, Fabian Gumz and Thomas Mühlöcker were done. Santhosh Suvarna leads the remaining twelve players into the final day.41 players from 104 entries survived Day 1, but the late registration on Day 2 was still very active. This brought the entries to 167 and a prize pool of $1,932,500. The top 26 spots were paid, with $1,000 waiting as the min-cash. Daniel Rezaei was among those who exited early, along with Marius Gierse, Klemens Roiter, Samuel Mullur, and Hannes Jeschka who also didn’t last long. But players like Brian Rast, Chino Rheem, Jesse Lonis, Phil Ivey, Ren Lin, Michael Moncek, Stephen Chidwick, and Chance Kornuth were also out quickly.Phil Hellmuth had to postpone his bracelet plans just like Shaun Deeb, and neither Manuel Fritz, Christoph Vogelsang, nor Martin Kabrhel came close to the money spots. Max Neugebauer and Christopher Nguyen were also out before the dinner break.With 28 players for the 26 money spots, the bubble returned to the tables after the dinner break. Leon Sturm fell to Colin Robinson with and the stone bubble hit Bernhard Binder with against the of Santhosh Suvarna. The board was and Bernhard went out as the last player without a payout.Matthias Eibinger was the first to secure the min-cash of $1,000. In a 3-way pot, he went all-in with Queens against Turbo Nguyen’s and Ignacio Moron’s . The board came , Turbo tripled up while Matthias had to go. Thomas Mühlöcker exited in 19th place for $1,000 when he ran his Nines into Turbo Nguyen’s Queens.Fabian Gumz also missed out on the final. He finished in 17th place for $1,000.By the end of the day, twelve players remained, with Johannes Straver being the last seat open holding against Brandon Wilson’s Nines.The remaining twelve players are guaranteed $1,000, with the winner taking home $1,922,870 and the bracelet. The runner-up also leaves as a millionaire with $1,281,905. The chip leader in the final is Santhosh Suvarna with 7,700,000 chips.
