WSOP 2026: Kickoff with the Mini Mystery Millions

A massive event to kick things off. The $1 Mini Mystery Millions opened the World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2026 at Horseshoe & Paris Las Vegas. The first of six flights attracted 1,635 entries to the tables and created a true WSOP atmosphere on the very first day.The Mini Mystery Millions comes with a guaranteed top bounty of $1,000,000 – with a small buy-in of $1. This makes for a very attractive massive event at the start of WSOP 2026. Players start with 25,000 chips and 30-minute levels on Day 1. A total of 22 levels must be completed, and the payouts will be awarded in the flights. The remaining players will then start Day 2 together on May 31.1,635 entries were generated in the first flight, which created 248 paid spots that secured at least $1. By the end of the day, the field was significantly thinned out, leaving only 60 players remaining. As expected, the field is very American-heavy. Jan Hajtmanek managed to secure $1 for 106th place. Additionally, Peyman Lüth currently holds second place in the chip count with 1,700,000, while Jansen Satparam leads with 1,800,000. Swiss player Thomas Schmitter is also well-positioned with 1,300,000.
