The 2026 World Poker Tour season is still in full swing. But poker fans can already look forward to the start of the series in the new year. From January 12 to February 2, 2027, the WPT will kick off its 25th season at the NagaWorld Integrated Resort in Phnom Penh. The WPT Cambodia schedule features two major championship events: the WPT Prime Cambodia Championship and the WPT Cambodia Championship.
The highlight of the festival during this anniversary season is the WPT Cambodia Championship. The tournament will take place from January 27 to February 1, 2027, with a buy-in of $3,500. The guaranteed prize pool is $1 million. A few days earlier, players will gather for the WPT Prime Cambodia Championship. This event runs from January 22 to 26, 2027, costs $1,100, and guarantees a prize pool of $500,000.
Last year, the WPT Cambodia already caused quite a stir. In early 2026, Xiaosheng Zheng prevailed against a field of 425 entries at the WPT Cambodia Championship, securing $244,500 in prize money and his first WPT title. Since being added to the WPT calendar, Cambodia has become a popular destination for poker players from across Asia and around the world. NagaWorld, located in the heart of Phnom Penh, offers luxurious accommodations, restaurants, entertainment, and gaming facilities, creating the ideal setting for an international poker festival.
Further details, including the full festival schedule, satellite opportunities, and hotel rates for players, will be posted shortly on the WPT website.
