Start of the SHR Bowl XI – Can Joao Simao Extend the Sun Run?

Today, the $100k Super High Roller Bowl XI starts in Las Vegas. Defending champion Joao Simao finished 2nd in the PLO SHR Bowl and is currently on a hot streak.

At ARIA Las Vegas, there’s plenty of high roller action right now. First came the PLO Series, then the $100k PLO SHR Bowl IV was decided, and now the $100k NLH Super High Roller Bowl is already starting at the PokerGO Studio.

Joao Simao will be among those taking part. The Brazilian won the event last year for $1.1 million and finished as runner‑up in the PLO event for $775,000. For many poker pros, that would be a fantastic result. For Simao, it’s currently just another cash.

At the Triton Super High Roller Series on Jejudo, the four‑time bracelet winner took down the $200k Invitational for $7.25 million, plus a heads‑up deal in the $150k 10th Anniversary Special for another $2.52 million. That brings the Brazilian to over $10 million in tournament winnings in less than four weeks.
