Triton SHRS Jeju II 2026: Nick Petrangelo and Joao Simao Split the $150k 10th Anniversary Special

After striking a deal in heads-up play, Nick Petrangelo took home the victory in the $150k 10th Anniversary Special at the 2026 Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Jeju II; Joao Simao finished as runner-up.

There were 58 entries on Day 1; late registration ended when the final table began. Nine more entries were added, bringing the total to 67 (44/23) entries, which generated a prize pool of $10,050,000. The top eleven finishers received prize money, with $251,000 as the minimum payout and $2,756,000 awaiting the winner.

Many of the big names—such as Paul Phua, Punnat Punsri, Jesse Lonis, and Phil Ivey, as well as Artur Martirosian, Mikita Badziakouski, and Samuel Mullur—were eliminated right away.

Matthias Eibinger was short-stacked and soon had to leave the table. Four players were all-in on his bust-out hand. Matthias held 8s. Sam Greenwood held , Patrik Antonius held , and Dan Dvoress held . The board worked out perfectly for Dan, leaving three seats open.

Aleks Ponakov, Eelis Parssinen, and Isaac Haxton also failed to make the money. On the soft bubble, Jean-Noel Thorel went home empty-handed; the bubble itself was once again fiercely contested—with several stacks under 20 BBs. In the end, it was Kiat Lee who would leave without a title or trophy this time; he was defeated with against Danny Tang’s and finished in 12th place with nothing to show for it.

Alex Foxen was initially lucky enough to double up his 5 BBs, only to be eliminated shortly afterward with against Seth Davies’ on the board —but he still walked away with $251,000. Ben Tollerene, who had even held the lead briefly on the bubble, first had to give up half his stack with against held by Thomas Boivin, then lost another half of his stack to Murly Manokharan, and finally was eliminated in 10th place while short-stacked with 7s against held by Murly Manokharan.

Manokharan then took a lot of chips from Dan Dvoress as well; shortly afterward, Dvoress was eliminated with his queens against held by Miroslav Atanasov. Seth Davies was also unable to secure a second trophy; he had to give up his seat with against held by Nick Petrangelo.

Danny Tang then finished in 7th place when he flopped out of position with against Miroslav Atanasov’s jacks. Murly Manokharan achieved his personal best Triton score when he finished in 6th place with against Adrian Mateos’s queens.
Thomas Boivin then lost almost all his chips with against Joao Simao’s aces; although he managed to stage a brief comeback, he ultimately had to bow out with pocket 4s against Adrian Mateos’s .

The action continued with plenty of excitement and big pots; ultimately, it was Miroslav Atanasov who was the next to be eliminated. Adrian Mateos had his next Triton trophy within his grasp, but ultimately had to settle for third place. With , he lost his last chips to Joao Simao, who held pocket 3s.

That left Joao Simao and Nick Petrangelo in heads-up play. Nick Petrangelo immediately doubled up with against on a board of , bringing the two players nearly even. With , Nick went all-in again against Joao’s pocket 3s; the board was , and Joao was left with only five big blinds. Joao then went all-in with against Nick’s —the board was —and Nick Petrangelo was the winner of the $150k 10th Anniversary Special.
