European Mixed Poker Championship: Thor William Morstøl claims his 12th Mixed Game Title since October 2025

From October 26 to 31, 2026, the European Mixed Poker Championship (EMPC) is being held at the Olympic Park Casino in Tallinn. Twelve championship events are scheduled over six days. Following Christophe Stammet’s victory in the €200 Welcomer Big Bet Mix, the second event—the €555 Lowball Draw Mix—also came to a close yesterday.

In these five limit draw games, the goal is to make the lowest possible hand. The games include: Fixed Limit Badacey, Fixed Limit A-5 Triple Draw, Fixed Limit Badugi, Fixed Limit Badeucey, and Fixed Limit 2-7 Triple Draw. 63 players paid the buy-in for the €555 Lowball Draw Mix. The top 7 finished in the money. Thor William Morstøl faced off against England’s Dinesh Khatri in heads-up play and secured victory in the A-5 Triple Draw with a six-high low hand, winning €9,967 in prize money.

Morstøl is a true mixed-game expert. Since October 2025, he has now won twelve mixed-game titles. These include victories at the EPT Malta, the EPT Prague, the APT, and the ARIA Poker Classic. Now he has added his first success at the European Mixed Poker Championship. Lowball games suit him best.
