Ian Simpson has picked up another tournament victory. The Brit came out on top in the Kav Cup at the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour in Blackpool and donated his winnings to charity.
The GUKPT has been running at Grosvenor G Casino in Blackpool since 29 October. The £60 Kav Cup was the tenth edition of the charity tournament held in honour of Derek “Kav” Kavanagh. A total of £21,080 in prize money was generated, of which £20,100 went to charity.
This was enough to comfortably surpass the previous record of £12,951, set in 2023, and take the total amount raised to £104,740. Ian Simpson was also in a generous mood. The 888poker ambassador claimed the tournament title and donated his entire £4,950 prize to charity.
