Starting Thursday, the Grand Casino Liechtenstein (GCLI) is once again kicking things off with the World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) II. Twelve ring events and CHF 1,300,000 in prize money await players through September 22. The highlights of the first weekend are the CHF 270 + 30 Mini Main Event (CHF 200,000 GTD) and the CHF 400 + 50 PLO Championship (CHF 100,000 GTD).
The WSOP Circuit premiere in February 2026 was such a huge success that organizers are following it up with a second edition in September. A bit smaller, but not really. After all, there are once again twelve ring events, and the total guaranteed prize pool of over CHF 1,300,000 is nothing to sneeze at. The CHF 1,350 + 150 Main Event, which will be played from Thursday, September 17, through Tuesday, November 22, is certainly impressive with its CHF 750,000 GTD. 50,000 chips and 40-minute levels in the regular flights are the familiar conditions; the money (15% of entries) is reached on Day 1. Starting on Day 2, play continues with 60-minute levels, and of course, there will be a live stream again.
But even the first weekend is truly something to look forward to. The CHF 270 + 30 Mini Main Event, which begins on Thursday with the first flight, offers great starting conditions with 30,000 chips and 30-minute levels; there are four flights in total. On Sunday, the final will kick off with 40-minute levels, with at least CHF 200,000 in prize money up for grabs.
At the same time, the CHF 400 + 50 PLO Championship kicks off on Friday. With 40,000 chips and 30-minute levels, the conditions here are also favorable, and the CHF 100,000 GTD prize pool is certainly impressive. The downside, however, is that you’ll have to choose between the Mini Main Event and the PLO, since the final days run virtually simultaneously on Sunday. Or you could take your chances and multi-table.
After the opening blockbusters, things will hit full steam ahead into the second week starting Sunday, with CHF 100,000 up for grabs in the CHF 450 + 50 Mystery Bounty.
There’s definitely no shortage of action—or prize money. As for the cash games, you can look forward to some intense action; a high-stakes cash game with a live stream is also planned for September 17–20. In general, though, the cash games will start as usual at CHF 1/3 NLH and CHF 2/2 PLO. A quick reminder for anyone who hasn’t been to the GCLI yet: currency exchange is straightforward at the GCLI—you don’t need to take care of it in advance.
