Bellagio in Las Vegas and the Hippodrome Casino in London are two of 16 stops announced so far. The Ladies Weekend of the World Poker Federation runs from 16 to 18 October.
The first edition of the WPF Ladies Weekend was held last year. Events took place in more than 15 cities across ten countries. Over 1,500 women took part, with more than 2,200 entries recorded. But the Ladies Weekend is meant to be more than just a three‑day poker festival.
Participants are encouraged to network and take part in workshops, talks, and training sessions. Currently, the WPF lists 16 countries where the event will be played. These include South Korea, Japan, Brazil, Nigeria, France, and Liechtenstein. More details and further stops are to follow.
There will also be action at the Bellagio. On Friday 16 October, $60 satellites to the Main Event start at 2 pm. At 6 pm, there’s a ‘Welcome Mixer’ with Jamie Kerstetter, followed by a Meet‑Up Game from 7 pm to 9 pm.
On Saturday, the $230 Main Event takes centre stage at 11 am. Sunday begins at 10 am with a Coffee & Chat with Emma Hodge. From 11 am, both men and women can take to the tables in the $1,500 Kings & Queens.
At the Hippodrome Casino in London, the Ladies Weekend opens with a Women’s Cash Game Stream. On Saturday, there’s a Female Study Bootcamp. To close things out on Sunday, the £300 Hippodrome Women’s Classic will be played, with £20,000 in prize money guaranteed.
