A new edition of the Diamond Poker Series PLO Grand Slam kicks off as early as next week, on September 15. At the last minute, the venue had to be changed; the event will now be held at the well-known Olympic Parc Casino in Tallinn. And Scotty Nguyen will be there anyway.
It’s definitely a bad beat to have to change the venue just one week before the event. With the Olympic Park Casino Tallinn, the DPS has found an absolutely top-notch partner, and nothing stands in the way of a successful event. There is one downside, and it’s a bitter one—the guaranteed prize pools have disappeared with the move. Instead of “GTD,” it’s now “estimated.” It goes without saying that this isn’t a good draw, especially for a High Roller PLO festival, but there wasn’t enough time to fix it at the last minute.

IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATE – VENUE CHANGE
Dear players and partners,
we would like to inform you about an important change regarding our upcoming Diamond Poker Series in Tallinn.
The series was originally scheduled to take place at Bombay Club Tallinn. Two weeks before the start of the event, we were informed by Bombay Club that the event could no longer take place at their venue. This decision was not made by us. As the matter is currently being handled by our legal counsel, we are unable to comment further on the circumstances at this time.
We know that many of you have already booked flights, set aside these dates, and are looking forward to a great event in Tallinn. Therefore, we are very pleased that we were able to secure Casino Olympic Park Casino Tallinn as a fantastic new venue for the series.
Together with the team at Casino Olympic Park Casino Tallinn, we were able to get everything in order in just a few days, and preparations are now in full swing.
The event dates and tournaments remain unchanged.

Due to the venue change and the resulting new official tournament registrations, prize pools will now be listed as estimated rather than guaranteed. This does not change the scale or ambition of the series. We have received a very strong number of confirmations and commitments from players and partners. It will be the big and strong event you’re used to.
All confirmed packages and services will be honored in full.

As you can see, numerous players have booked their spots and will be attending the new venue. Scotty Nguyen will also be there. The 5k Million kicks off on September 15. The first flights are €1,000 phase tournaments, followed by the €5,000 + 200 flight on September 17. It will take until September 20 for a winner to be crowned. At the same time, the €10,000 + 400 10k Championship, which will be played over three days, begins on September 20. In addition, there will be several other high roller and side events that will turn this into a festival for Omaha enthusiasts.
