After a deal with Christian Leichtfried, Adem Marjanovic took the victory in the € 500 + 50 Main Event of the Casinos Austria Poker Tour (CAPT) at Casino Velden, securing € 18,170 in prize money.From the 195 entries (162/33), 29 players remained, led by
Thomas Praschk, who started the final on May 24. All had secured at least € 1,220 as a min-cash, while the winner could anticipate € 21,200. Three Poker European Champions – Christian Leichtfried, Harald Heigl, and current champion Jan Zupec – also made it to the final day. However, for Harald, it ended in 14th place (€ 1,330), while the other two made it to the final table. The initial chip leader was also still in the game.
Jan Zupec finished in 5th place (€ 5,400), and shortly after him, Thomas Praschk (€ 7,340) also had to exit. Konstantin Hammermüller achieved a 3rd place finish, earning € 10,140.In heads-up, Christian Leichtfried and Adem Marjanovic agreed to a deal, with € 800 and the trophies still to be played for. It was Adem who prevailed, celebrating a win of over € 18,170, while Christian received € 17,070 for his 2nd place finish.The countdown to the Poker EM is underway, as the CAPT moves on to Bregenz, where games will commence on May 28.
