Banco: Surge in the Opening of the Slovak Poker Championship

For just € 100, players could enter the Half Price opening of the Slovak Poker Championship (€ 200,000 GTD) yesterday, July 6th, at Banco Bratislava. The offer was well-received, with a total of 356 entries recorded.Until Sunday, July 12th, there will be a total of twelve flights and flips. The regular buy-in is € 200, but yesterday it was only € 100 to participate. The conditions remained the same – 50,000 chips and 30-minute levels, with the top 10% qualifying for Day 2. While good turnout was expected, the fact that there were 356 entries was a pleasant surprise. Thus, 36 players already secured a spot for Day 2, including our Poker Exclusive strategist Niki Kovacs with 367,000 chips.The chip lead was claimed by Hungary, with Istvan Cores grabbing the top position with 1,315,000 chips, followed by Zsolt Sörös with 1,130,000 chips. The best Austrian player is Luis Ernst Toubib with 815,000 chips in 5th place.Today marks the start of the chase for double qualification – € 1,000 will be awarded for two stacks on Day 2, and € 3,000 for qualifying three times. The Playzone will also provide action today, with a Tekken tournament starting at 3 PM.There was good action at the cash games yesterday as well, with games available daily starting with the blinds at € 1/3 NLH or € 2/2 PLO.
