Card Casino Samorin: Markus Jenisch wins the Beer Poker Tour

The Beer Poker Tour recently came to a close at the Card Casino Samorin near Bratislava. The highlight was the €225 + 25 Beer Poker Tour Main Event (€200,000 GTD). Markus Jenisch ultimately secured the victory.

Day 1A of the Beer Poker Tour drew 156 entries and 20 survivors. Day 1B recorded 110 entries, 14 of whom advanced to Day 2. Flights 1C and 1D drew 117 and 108 entries, respectively. Fifteen and 14 players, respectively, remained in the tournament. Following that, 131 and 137 entries were added. Seventeen and 18 players, respectively, advanced through the last two regular flights. The Turbo Flight and the Flips added another 63 and 64 entries, respectively.

With 886 entries, however, the tournament narrowly missed the €200,000 prize pool guarantee. After deducting the 5% rake, €190,000 remained in the prize pool; the bonuses for the chip leader and multiple qualifiers were, of course, also deducted. With 102 players remaining, the final began, and all had €450 secured as a minimum cash prize. The winner took home €30,000, and the top 5 each received a €1,500 WSOPC ticket.

After Hungarian player Antonio Karman was eliminated in 5th place (€5,590 + ticket), a deal was struck. Dusan Gajdos was the chip leader at that point and took home the most money—€23,130 plus a ticket—but ultimately finished in 2nd place. The victory went to Markus Jenisch, who walked away with €18,000 plus a €1,500 WSOPC ticket

The action continues with plenty more to come: this weekend features the €80 High Hand Special (€15,000 GTD) and the €50 Halloween Night (€10,000 GTD) await this weekend, before the next €100 Grand Prix event (€100,000 GTD) kicks off on November 2. Cash games will be played starting at €1/3 NLH and €2/2 PLO. You can find all the details on the full lineup at cardcasino.sk.
