Won by a flip. Ari Engel clinched the title at the WPT Cambodia Passport Championship. He took home $81,044 in prize money, plus a seat to the $10k season finale in Las Vegas.
The World Poker Tour visited the NagaWorld Integrated Resort in Phnom Penh from 12 to 24 August. Seventy events were on the schedule, along with satellites. The highlight was the $1,300 WPT Cambodia Passport Championship.
WPT guaranteed $500,000. But 391 entries weren’t enough to hit that mark. Forty-nine players made the money. In the end, Ari Engel came out on top. During heads-up play against Aditya Agarwal, the Canadian agreed to a deal.
Agarwal collected $81,610. Engel received $81,044 and the seat to the WPT World Championship, worth $10,400. The title and the trophy were decided by a flip. And Ari Engel won that flip.
