Yesterday, June 6th, the HSOP celebrated the five-year anniversary of the poker location in Zizers. Following a deal, Florian Bardill celebrated his victory and CHF 1,400 in winnings.The anniversary tournament attracted players with great conditions – 50,000 chips (including 5,000 bonus chips) and slow blind increases brought many players to the tables. Due to dealer cancellations, the tournament had to be limited to five tables, resulting in 46 starters and 13 re-entries, creating a prize pool of €8,850. The top 7 positions were paid out. In addition, Bruno Wyss sponsored two additional CHF 150 prizes which were raffled off. Andri Jäger and Franco Carabs were the lucky winners.Before the money stage, there was already a culinary highlight during the dinner break. For CHF 10, players could fill their bellies with:• Pulled-beef burger made from Swiss grass-fed beef
• Pulled-pork burger made from Swiss piglet
• Served in a bun with coleslaw and various saucesReenergized, they returned to the tables, and around 10:40 PM, the final table was reached. They agreed on a double bubble deal, which secured everyone CHF 150 as a min-cash. After the two bubble spots were filled, the last seven players agreed on a new deal just before midnight. This deal ensured Florian Bardill took home the victory for CHF 1,400, with Riccardo Gubser as the runner-up for CHF 1,357.As always, the tournament took place in great spirits, and participants are already looking forward to the next Zizers special, which is expected to take place in early August.
