The three flights of the £1,100 + 150 Main Event at the 888 LIVE London Festival in the Victoria Poker Room in London have concluded, with Daniel Samson as the chip leader. Late registration ends with the start of Day 2 today.
Day 1A kicked off on Thursday, followed by Day 1B and Turbo Flight 1C yesterday. Play took place with 50,000 chips and 40-minute (or 20-minute) levels. Of course, the 888Poker pros were in the mix, and several familiar faces were also at the tables, some of whom managed to secure strong positions heading into Day 2. Day 1A attracted 106 entries; Day 1B was the strongest flight with 177 entries, but the evening Turbo flight also drew 81 players. In total, there were 364 entries across all flights, bringing the prize pool to over £400,000—and late registration is still open at the start of Day 2.
Daniel Samson took the chip lead with 459,000, while Julien Sitbon returns with 345,000. Ian Simpson (192,500) is also in a strong position, while Antoine Saout and Martins Adeniya are among the short stacks.
