After two days in 2nd place, Benny Glaser is now the chip leader of the $1,000 Poker Players Championship (#60) at the World Series of Poker 2026 at Horseshoe & Paris Las Vegas. A high-profile final is on the horizon.Benny GlaserWith 39 players remaining out of 108 starters, Day 3 took place yesterday. The primary goal was to reach the money, with 17th place guaranteeing $1,934. Short stack Brian Rast started with a double-up, while Yuri Dzivielevski was the first player eliminated. More prominent bustouts followed in this star-studded field, including David “ODB” Baker, John Racener, Bryn Kenney, John Monnette, Aleks Kostritsyn, and Luke Schwartz. Gus Hansen was eliminated at the NL 2-7 Single Draw with a 10-low against Roy Thung’s 9-low.Brian Rast fought through the day as a short stack, only to exit in 19th place with against Benny Glaser’s in PLO. The bubble phase, filled with soft and stone bubbles, felt like it lasted forever. Finally, it was Bryce Yockey who was forced all-in with in PLO against , ending his run on the board :10s.Dara Taherpour and Matt Glantz picked up cash on Day 3, with 15 players remaining at the end of the day. Each has secured $1,474 when returning to the tables. There are three high-profile tables remaining. Benny Glaser leads with a chip stack of 4,705,000, followed closely by mostly big names.
