Triton Poker SHR Montenegro: Dan Dvoress Wins the $25k NLH Golden Decade; Samuel Mullur Takes Home $314k

The first trophy of the Triton Super High Roller Series Montenegro at the Maestral Resort & Casino went to Dan Dvoress. He emerged victorious in the $1,000 NLH Golden Decade event, while Samuel Mullur finished fourth as the top Austrian player.146 (93/53) entries generated a prize pool of $1,650,000. With 34 players remaining for 23 paid spots, Day 1 came to an end; Fabian Niederreiter, Christopher Nguyen, Hannes Jeschka, and Samuel Mullur—as the short stack—were still in the running. The first goal was to make the top 23, but it was Hannes Jeschka, of all people, who was eliminated on the bubble. The others had $1,000 secured, but that was as far as it would go for Christopher Nguyen (22nd place).On the way to the final table, players including Mikita Badziakouski and Emilien Pitavy were eliminated. On the final table bubble, Wiktor Malinowski ($1,000) was eliminated when, short-stacked with , he ran into Ben Tollerene’s aces.At the final table, Ben Tollerne lost almost his entire stack with against held by Dejan Kaladjurdjevic. He managed to double up against Daniel Dvoress before ultimately being eliminated with against held by Paul Puha. Samuel Mullur and Fabian Niederreiter were short-stacked, but it was ultimately Danilo Velasevic who lost the coin flip with against Dejan Kaladjurdjevic’s 8s and was eliminated in 8th place.Mikhail Soltanov, playing in his very first Triton event, was ultimately eliminated with against Daniel Dvoress’s queens.Fabian Niederreiter lost his battle as the short stack with against held by Ding Biao. It was also Fabian’s first Triton event, which earned him $1,000 in prize money. After him, Ding Biao had to bow out with against Dan Dvoress’s because the board ran out .Samuel Mullur was also unable to stage a comeback. Although he managed to double up with against Daniel Dvoress’s , he ultimately had to face off short-stacked with against Dejan Kaladjurdjevic’s ; the board gave Dejan two pair and Samu 4th place for $1,000.Paul Phua also managed a double-up while short-stacked before ultimately finishing in 3rd place with against held by Dejan Kaladjurdjevic.This left Dejan Kaladjurdjevic and Dan Dvoress in heads-up play, and it was Dvoress who ultimately took all of Dejan Kaladjurdjevic’s chips with on the board with in hand. The victory earned Dvoress a whopping $1,000, while Kaladjurdjevic took home $1,000.
