Kings of Tallinn Autumn Edition 2026: Scotty Nguyen advances to Day 3 of the Main Event

At the Kings of Tallinn Autumn Edition 2026, powered by OlyBet, the Main Event entered its second day yesterday at the Olympic Park Casino in the Hilton Tallinn Park. 64 players remain in the running. Among them is Scotty Nguyen, who went all-in just before the bubble burst and hit a set on the flop. In addition, three other events came to a close.

The Main Event field, with 607 entries, generated a prize pool of €564,510, which is significantly higher than the guaranteed total of 500,000 euros. Lithuanian Grantas Naujokas took the lead with 909,000 chips, well ahead of Finland’s Ville-Tapio Mesiranta in second place with 820,000 and Spain’s David Santalla Marfil in third place with 745,000. The average chip stack among the 64 remaining players is approximately 284,000 chips, which corresponds to about 47 big blinds.

Scotty Nguyen caused quite a stir. The five-time WSOP bracelet winner and 1998 world champion has been a regular on the European Tour in Tallinn for over a month. At Level 17 (2,000/4,000 with a 4,000 ante), Nguyen had only 37,000 chips in the big blind when Finnish player Julius Kettunen went all-in with a significantly larger stack. Nguyen called with ace-nine. The flop brought a nine, briefly making Nguyen the clear favorite to win. Kettunen hit a straight draw on the turn, but the river brought no change, allowing Nguyen to double his stack and carry 138,000 chips into Day 3.

Two former Kings of Tallinn Main Event champions are also still in the running. Sweden’s Johan Karlsson, winner of the 2020 edition for €126,900, returns with 393,000 chips. His compatriot Johan Creutz, the 2016 champion who won €52,200, is carrying 358,000 chips. No player has ever won the Kings of Tallinn Main Event twice.

Iryna Tsikhanskaya of Belarus secured the largest chip stack among all remaining women with 395,000 chips. Sweden’s Mounir Tajiou, runner-up in the 2025 Kings of Tallinn Main Event, is also back in the running with 242,000 chips. Mantas Bagocius of Lithuania, the defending champion of the Kings of Vilnius Main Event, has 302,000 chips. Linas Bulksas of Lithuania, the defending champion of the Kings of Vilnius Championship, is in seventh place in the overall standings with 512,000 chips.

On Day 3, the field of 64 players must be reduced to a final table of nine players. Here are the chip counts after Day 2:
