A new poker boom has swept Italy. Even at the Casino Di Venezia, poker is back in full swing. The €400 “La Notte Degli Assi” tournament offers €1,000,000 in prize money and plenty of action.
From Campione on the Swiss border all the way to Malta, the whole of Italy has been swept up in poker fever. Even at the Casino di Venezia—where no major poker festival has been held for a decade—the cards are flying once again.
“La Notte Degli Assi” is drawing players to the lagoon city with a starting stack of 200,000 chips and a slow structure. And, of course, €1,000,000 in prize money. This includes €200,000 for the “La Caccia Al Tesoro” promotion. The variable buy-ins are particularly interesting. Today, tomorrow, Tuesday, and even Wednesday, the buy-in is still €400, with a €300 re-entry fee. Starting Thursday, the buy-in is €600 and the re-entry fee is €400. A total of ten flights will be offered through Saturday, October 17. The top players from each flight will then be eligible for the Caccia al Tesoro raffle. This coming Sunday, Day 2 will begin with 45-minute levels, and the final on Monday will also be played with 45-minute levels.
