NSUS Group: Bryn Kenney sues his former employer

Millions of dollars in unpaid bonuses and a promised equity stake. Poker pro Bryn Kenney has filed a lawsuit against GGPoker’s parent company.

Bryn Kenney filed the lawsuit in Nevada in July this year. The case was transferred to federal court several weeks later. As Zak Thomas-Akoo reports for next.io, NSUS CEO Mansoo Kim filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit in September.

Kenney’s lawsuit names NSUS Group, NSUS Ltd., Kim and another individual as defendants. The former GGPoker brand ambassador accuses the online poker operator of underpaying him in commission.

According to court documents, Kenney received $5 million in 2019. The amount dropped significantly the following year. The poker pro alleges that, among other things, referred players were removed from the internal system and his commission rate was reduced. He claims these actions resulted in him receiving $3 million less than he was owed.

Kenney also claims that Mansoo Kim promised him a 5% stake in the company. Furthermore, Kim allegedly assured the poker pro that effective measures were in place to prevent cheating. Kenney maintains that these measures were insufficient.
