The International Poker Open in Dublin is one of the most traditional and popular live poker events in Europe and has been held annually since 2007. The festival brings together players from Ireland and across Europe. It also combines a relatively affordable Main Event buy-in with an extensive side program. Thanks to its partnership with official partner WPT Global, there are also attractive online qualification opportunities. The next edition of the long-standing International Poker Open (IPO) will take place at the Bonnington Hotel in Dublin from October 20 to 26, 2026.
The highlight is the IPO Main Event, with a buy-in of 350 euros and a guaranteed prize pool of 200,000 euros. Players start with a stack of 30,000 chips. Depending on the stage of the tournament, the structure features 40-, 50-, and 60-minute levels. There will be numerous opportunities on-site to qualify for Day 2. The Main Event kicks off on October 21 with Day 1A. This will be followed by additional flights leading up to the final Day 1F on October 25. Day 1E and Day 1F, with shorter blind levels, offer additional opportunities for players who can’t join the festival until later.
WPT Global offers particularly exciting qualification opportunities. Through online satellites, players can secure a seat in the IPO Main Event with just small stakes. The satellite structure starts at $4.40 and, in the best-case scenario, leads through $44 satellites to a 350-euro Main Event ticket. The $4.40 feeder satellites run daily during the promotion. Also worth noting are the $44 IPO satellites, which take place on WPT Global every Monday and Thursday at 8:00 p.m. Irish time (UTC+1). At least two Main Event seats are guaranteed in each of these satellites. In addition, WPT Global is hosting an Online Day 1. It will take place on October 18 at 8:00 p.m. Irish time. Players who qualify online for Day 2 will then continue playing in Dublin.
Of course, there are numerous other side events on the schedule throughout the seven days of the festival. These include, among others, a Seniors Event with a €25,000 guarantee, an 8-Game tournament, Pot-Limit Omaha, Mystery Bounty, and various Turbo and Deepstack events. There are also options for high rollers: The IPO Luxon Pay Super High Roller offers a €25,000 guarantee with a buy-in of €1,100. On Sunday, the Leslie McLean High Roller with a €25,000 guarantee is also on the schedule, while the Second Chance with a €10,000 guarantee offers another opportunity. The festival will conclude with, among other events, a Mini Main Event with a €15,000 guarantee and a PLO Deepstack. International Poker Open (IPO).
