For the third and final time this season, the Major Series of Poker (MSPT) returned to the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for the 2026 Wisconsin Poker State Championship. Eleven Gold Card events were on the schedule. The highlight of the 11-Gold Card Series was, of course, the Main Event, with a buy-in of $1,110 and a guaranteed prize pool of $1,000,000. In the end, Rob WazWaz, a member of the MSPT Hall of Fame, emerged victorious, securing $253,521 in prize money.
The Main Event drew 1,568 entries across three starting days, generating a prize pool of $1,519,460. At the end of the final starting day, only 80 players qualified for the next round. WSOP bracelet winner Jean “Prince” Gaspard took the lead with 980,000 chips and entered Day 2 as the chip leader. A total of 173 players, all of whom were already in the money, returned to the tables for Day 2.
Brittany Spain’s elimination in 10th place burst the final table bubble. In heads-up play, Mark Cahill faced off against Rob WazWaz. Cahill went all-in with![]()
