The Major Series of Poker (MSPT) will make a stop in the U.S. state of Wisconsin in September 2026. From September 22 to 27, the Wisconsin Poker State Championship will take place at the Potawatomi Casino Hotel in Milwaukee. Eleven Gold Card events are scheduled as part of the series.
The highlight of the tournament series is the Main Event, with a buy-in of $1,110 and a guaranteed prize pool of $1,000,000. In addition to the regular prize money, the winner of the Main Event will receive a special bonus: A seat worth $3,500 to the MSPT Championship Main Event. The Championship tournament will be held from November 27 to December 2, 2026, at the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida, and offers a guaranteed prize pool of $2,000,000.
Last year, the $1,110 buy-in, $1,000,000 GTD 100 GRAND STACK Main Event drew 1,698 entries and a prize pool of $1,645,560. In the end, Wisconsin native Greg Shuda secured his first MSPT title and prize money of $232,955.
On the first day of the 2026 Wisconsin Poker State Championship, the schedule kicks off with the first flight of the $400 Mini-Main Event, which offers a $100,000 guarantee. Also on the schedule are a $400 Pot-Limit Omaha tournament and a $250 Monster Stack event. Also on the schedule are a $400 Mixed PLO/NLH tournament, a $400 Seniors tournament, an S400 Black Chip Bounty event, and additional $250 Monster Stack NLH events.
