The PokerGO Tour will once again wrap up the season with a major freeroll in Las Vegas. The PGT Championship in January will feature $500,000 in prize money and PGT passports.
The PGT Championship will take place at the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Las Vegas from 11 to 12 January. This will be the sixth edition of the PGT season finale and the fifth to be held as a freeroll. When the event debuted in 2021, the Championship was a $50,000 High Roller.
In 2022, the PGT Championship was held as a $500,000 winner-takes-all freeroll. In each of the following three seasons, the freeroll offered $1 million in prize money. The reigning champion is Chad Eveslage, who collected $500,000 earlier this year.
For the upcoming PGT Championship, the prize pool will be reduced to $500,000. Another change is that the prize money will be split between cash and a PGT Passport.
| Place | Total Prize | Cash Prize | PGT Passport |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1st | $250,000 | $100,000 | $150,000 |
| 2nd | $125,000 | $50,000 | $75,000 |
| 3rd | $60,000 | $24,000 | $36,000 |
| 4th | $40,000 | $16,000 | $24,000 |
| 5th | $25,000 | $10,000 | $15,000 |
The top 40 players on the PGT leaderboard will qualify for the tournament in January. If a player does not take up their spot, another player will move up to fill the vacancy. Players can continue to earn leaderboard points until the PGT Last Chance Series in January.
