On 30 September, The Star Gold Coast’s casino licence was due to be suspended for 90 days. Now the deadline has been pushed back to April 2027.

For The Star Gold Coast, things are gradually getting tight. The licence was already supposed to be suspended next week. But shortly before the deadline, there’s now a postponement. The aim is to give the casino more time to get the company back on track.
The extended deadline of 31 March 2027 doesn’t come out of nowhere. The government has imposed strict requirements around financial and organisational reforms. The Star Gold Coast is currently meeting these. Over the additional six months, the reforms are to be pushed further forward.
