Until the end of the month, the World Poker Tour is at The Star Sydney Casino. The festival started last week, and a few events have already been played. Thomas Lee won the first Boomerang trophy after taking down the A$500 True Blue Turbo ($355) for A$8,067 ($5,749). One of the most recent winners is Simon Javor, who won the A$1,250 Aussie Monster Stack ($890) for A$46,196 ($32,923).
In the A$1,150 Australian Poker Cup ($820), 441 entries came together, so 56 players shared A$441,000 ($314,294) in prize money. The title, the trophy, a seat to the A$1,500 WPT Prime Championship ($1,100), and A$83,740 ($59,680) went to Australian Ailen Ji.
