The victory in the $50,000 NLH 8-handed Event #8 at the 2026 Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Jeju II went to Pedro Padilha, who walked away with $1,400,860 following a heads-up deal.
Event #8 of the series drew 88 starters and 41 re-entries, with $6,450,000 distributed among the top 20 finishers. Mehdi Chaoui entered the final table as the chip leader, while Phil Ivey was among the big stacks. Manuel Fritz was short-stacked and was among the first to be eliminated. On the bubble, Philip Sternheimer, playing short-stacked with 
, doubled up against Alejandro Lococo’s 
:10h, while Tony Lin, holding 
, was eliminated by Nick Petrangelo’s 
and went home empty-handed.
The first player to be eliminated while in the money was Kayhan Mokri, who lost with 
against Phil Ivey’s 
; he took home the min-cash of $84,000. After that, it was also game over for Philip Sternheimer; with 
, he fell to Aren Bezhanyan’s queens. For the early chip leader, Mehdi Chaoui, the night was over early as well; he didn’t make it past 15th place. He had to fold his 6s against Ferdinand Putra’s 7s, and Alisson Piekazewicz was eliminated in the same hand with

Alejandro Lococo also missed the final table, which once again featured a female player in Sasaki Yoko. Once again, Kiat Lee made it to the final table, as did Phil Ivey—and Alex Boika was also back in the hunt for the title.
At the final table, it was Sasaki Yoko who ran into Nick Petrangelo’s tens with her nines and was the first to be eliminated. It would be a while before Eelis Parssinen also had to vacate his seat, with 
against Wang Yang’s queens. It was then Nick Petrangelo who, with jacks, eliminated Phil Ivey, who held nines.
Several double-ups followed before Alex Boika, holding 6s, ended Kiat Lee’s tournament run against his 
. Wang Yang ultimately finished in 5th place, which would also be his best Triton finish to date. With

. Next, it was Alex Boika who, with

However, Alex Boika didn’t make it to heads-up. First, Nick Petrangelo doubled up with

That left Pedro Padilha and Nick Petrangelo in heads-up play. Nick, whose Triton record has been less than impressive so far, agreed to a deal with Pedro that netted the American $1,201,140 to improve his record; Pedro had $1,350,860 secured. $50,000 remained in the pot, and the decision didn’t take long.
