Bratislava and Rozvadov are in the books; Malta and Tallinn are still on “The Festival” itinerary. Of course, with plenty of mixed game and NLH action—and lots of fun.
What began in 2021 at Banco Bratislava has become one of the biggest European mid-stakes tours. And it sets standards and trends when it comes to non-NLH tournaments. Just to make that clear right off the bat—The Festival has spectacular NLH events, and plenty of them. Of course, that includes the €500 + 50 Main Event, which will be played at the next stop at Portomaso Casino Malta from September 15–20 with 50,000 chips and 30- to 50-minute levels. Every day, NLH enthusiasts will find something to their liking, and the €220 + 30 The Hendon Mob Championship (50k/30′) is a must-play.
And then there’s the non-NLH side of The Festival. It’s really taken off, and Sviten is now played even in Asia, Australia, and, of course, throughout most of Europe. The Dramaha variant has even made its way into private games. Perhaps not everyone knows what Sviten is yet, but for those who enjoy having more than two hole cards, it’s an absolute must-play variant. And just as much of a must at every “The Festival” event. The €500 + 50 TORSES Main Event (30k/30′) is another festival staple.
On top of that, there are the many events we’ve come to expect from The Festival—a total of 47 are on the schedule in Malta. And yes, there’s even more to come, specifically from November 20–29 in Tallinn.
Numerous players have secured packages on the iPoker network; alongside the Irish Open, The Festival is one of the most popular satellites in the network. There’s definitely no chance of getting bored. More likely, you’ll suffer from a lack of sleep, since the hospitality schedule is just as packed as the tournament schedule.
