When glamour meets poker, the Merit Royal Diamond in Cyprus is the place to be. From July 27 to August 6, the hotel is hosting the Noir Poker Series with a guaranteed prize pool of $6,000,000.
For more than a decade, poker events at the Merit have offered substantial prize pools in a perfect setting. The Noir Poker Series fits seamlessly into this concept and boasts a full tournament schedule.
The series kicks off with a bang at the $3,500 Merit Poker Cup, featuring a guaranteed prize pool of $1,000,000. There are a total of three flights, starting with 100,000 chips and 40-minute levels.
The $7,500 High Roller Event on July 31 and August 1 also features a million-dollar prize pool, with 100,000 chips and 40-minute levels.
The centerpiece of the series, of course, is the $5,500 Main Event, which offers $3,000,000 in prize money. Players will start with a stack of 100,000 chips; the blinds will increase every 40 minutes on the opening days, though Flights 1C and 1D will have shorter level durations (30 and 20 minutes). Starting on Day 2, the action continues with 60-minute levels.
While the Main Event determines the champion, the $3,300 Mystery Bounty ($300,000 GTD) adds extra excitement at the tables.
Once all the winners of the Noir Poker Series have been determined, the action moves to the decadent Onyx High Roller Club, where the Onyx High Roller Series will then be played from August 9 through 21.
