Just a few days ago, the Major Series of Poker (MSPT) made a stop at the Playground Casino in Kahnawake for the Canadian Poker Championship. But the MSPT moves at a rapid pace. From November 3 to 8, 2026, the series will head to the Riverside Casino & Golf Resort in Riverside, Iowa. The tournament schedule includes eight Gold Card events. The centerpiece of the six-day festival is the $1,110 Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of $300,000.
The MSPT Main Event begins on Thursday, November 5, with the first starting day. Additional flights will follow on Friday and Saturday, before the final day takes place on Sunday, November 8. The buy-in for the tournament is $1,110, with a guaranteed prize pool of $300,000. Each of the three starting days features a starting stack of 30,000 chips and 40-minute blind levels. Unlimited re-entries are allowed until the start of Level 13. Players will first compete to advance to Day 2, when all remaining participants will be combined into a single field. The final day begins at 11:00 a.m. By that time, all players will already be in the money.
In addition to the prize money, the champion will receive a seat worth $3,500 to the MSPT Championship. The Championship Main Event will take place from November 27 to December 2, 2026, at the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida, and offers a $2 million guarantee. The MSPT Riverside kicks off on Tuesday, November 3, with the $250 Ultimate Stack NLH. Two Monster Stack tournaments with buy-ins of $300 and $250 follow on Wednesday. On Thursday, the $300 Seniors NLH is open to players aged 50 and older. After the Main Event begins on the same day, the schedule features another $250 Monster Stack on Saturday and a special $300 tournament for players aged 40 and older on Sunday. The festival concludes with another $300 Monster Stack on Sunday afternoon.
Players can qualify for the Main Event even before the festival begins. The satellites start in October and will be offered through the festival week. In the $70 Milestone Satellites, the path first leads to a $265 satellite. There, one Main Event seat will be awarded to five participants in each tournament. Additional $265 satellites offer direct qualification opportunities for the $1,110 Main Event.
