King’s: Matthias Kribben wins the $ZTO$ Super High Roller – and the Friday Night Banana Cup

Two tournaments, same winner. Matthias Kribben was able to secure victories in both the €660 Super High Roller and the €150 Friday Night Banana Cup yesterday, May 29, at the $ZTO$ Million$ Festival in King’s Resort Rozvadov.In the €660 Super High Roller, the final table formed yesterday. Out of the 36 entries from Day 1, only nine players remained, but late registration was still open. Catalin Paul Diac was the chip leader. Late registration was utilized, resulting in a total of 60 entries (42/18), but the €50,000 guarantee was still not met. After deducting the 15% fee, there was €42,500 in the pot, with the top nine places paid. The winner would have taken home €13,427, but a deal was made in heads-up play. The initial chip leader Diac took home €10,935, while the winner Matthias Kribben left the table with €10,936.

Just hours later, there was another victory for Matthias Kribben. The Chess Pro has only recently discovered poker and is now becoming a serial winner. The €150 Friday Night Banana Cup had a prize pool of €15,000, played with 15,000 chips and 15-minute levels. With 86 starters and 18 re-entries, they barely covered the guarantee. After deducting the 16% fee, the pot totaled €13,104, and the top 16 places were paid out. The winner would have taken home €3,491, but the last five players chopped it, and once again it was Matthias Kribben who came out on top, taking home €2,330.
